Welcome to Simply Notarized! By accessing or using this website and booking services with Simply Notarized, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

 

1. Services Offered

Simply Notarized offers mobile notary services in accordance with the laws of the State of California. I am a commissioned, bonded, and insured California Notary Public, and do not offer legal advice or services outside the scope of notarial duties.

 

2. No Legal Advice

I am not an attorney and cannot provide legal advice or determine the type of notarization you need. It is your responsibility to know:

  • What type of notarization is required (e.g., jurat, acknowledgment)

  • That the document is complete and ready to be notarized

  • That you have valid, government-issued photo identification

 

3. Fees

All fees are based on California’s allowed notarial rates and applicable travel, after-hours, and rush charges. Travel and rush fees are non-refundable, even if the notarization cannot be completed due to:

  • Incomplete documents

  • Invalid identification

  • Client refusal or inability to sign

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Clients may cancel or reschedule appointments at least 2 hours in advance without penalty. Same-day cancellations made under 2 hours before the appointment may be subject to a fee, especially if travel has already occurred.

 

5. Confidentiality

Client privacy is a top priority. Your personal information and documents will be handled with discretion. Notarial journal entries are required by law and will be kept confidential except as required by subpoena or California notarial regulations.

 

6. Website Use

You may use this website for informational purposes and to contact or request services from Simply Notarized. You may not:

  • Misuse the contact form

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data

  • Republish or copy any website content without permission

 

7. Limitation of Liability

Simply Notarized will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

  • Improper document preparation

  • Refusal to notarize non-compliant documents

  • Delays or cancellations due to unavoidable circumstances

 

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

 

9. Changes to Terms

These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the site or services implies acceptance of the updated terms.
